Aromatherapy Applications:
Use as a nerve remedy for insomnia and nervous tension. Can also be used to support the female estrogens.
Characteristics:
A pale yellow to reddish-amber liquid with a rich, spicy-sweet odor. It blends well with pine, ambrette seed, nutmeg, copaiba balsam, citrus and spice oils.
Principal Constituents:
Humulene, myrcene, caryophyllene, farnesene.
General Actions:
Generally non-toxic (narcotic in excessive amounts) and non-irritant; may cause sensitization in some individuals. Should be avoided by those suffering from depression.
