Aromatherapy Applications:

Characteristics:
A colorless or pale yellow oil that turns yellowy-brown with age, with a rich herbaceous-earthy bodynote.
Principal Constituents:
Phellandrene, pinene, limonene, linalol, borneol, coumarins, osthol, angelicin, bergapten, imperatorin, plant acids.
General Actions:
Antispasmodic, carminative, depurative, diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, febrifuge, nervine, stimulant, stomachic, tonic.
Safety:
Non-toxic, non-irritant. The root oil is phototoxic, due to high levels of bergapten.
